Water Sports Walkabout has a variety of water sports equipment on board: Wind Surfer Sea Kayak Water Ski's Wake Board O'Brien Tube Snorkeling equipment (masks, snorkels & fins) Scuba Diving Scuba Diving Courses (accredited Open Water 1 course as well as a resort course) With the exception of scuba diving courses for which there is an extra charge, use of the above equipment is included in our standard charter rates. Note: In the warm tropical waters a wetsuit is usually not necessary, and being a very personalised piece of equipment, wetsuits do not form part of our on-board equipment. You are of course welcome to bring along your own wetsuit. Fishing Whether you are just a casual once-a-year fisherman, into game fishing, a fly fishing- or spear-fishing enthusiast, your charter can be tailored to suit your preferences (discuss your preferences with us when making your reservation). The northern part of the Mozambican coastline has to date escaped the scourge of large-scale commercial fishing - an abundance of marine life is still to be found here. St Lazarus Bank is a very popular destination for fishing enthusiasts in general, and specifically fly fishermen. You can enjoy the convenience of catered living on a big, comfortable catamaran right there on the banks. Fishing can be done from the main vessel or one of the auxiliary craft. Concerning the auxiliary craft, our guests have the choice between 3,2m inflatables powered by 15hp outboards (two fishermen per craft, operated by themselves) or 16 ft ski boats (three fishermen per craft, with a skipper). The inflatables are included in our standard package rates, ski boats come at an additional charge. In keeping with our company mission statement, we support the conservation of the environment and promote a “catch and release” approach. Auxiliary Equipment Each yacht is equipped with a 4,6m semi rigid inflatable with 50hp outboard engine. In addition to this, the following is available for specific charter purposes: 3 X 3,2m inflatables with 15hp outboard engines, equipped with portable VHF and GPS. 2 X 4,8m ski boats with 2X50 hp outboard engines each, and equipped with portable VHF, GPS and fish finder.
